The Foam Heads
THE FOAM HEADS
The Foam Heads are a three-piece band from Oxford, UK writing and playing their original indie-pop music. Their songs reflect the epidemics of modern day living, from anxiety and addiction to depression and psychosis. Throwing in the onward surge of human mass ecocide, they generate a powerful emotive mix.
They formed in early 2020 as songwriters, writing about modern life to the backdrop of their music from guitar anthems to a semi-acoustic ether. The Foam Heads are Gareth on bass, synth and vocals, Nick on guitars, keyboards and vocals, and Mark on drums.
Gareth learnt music originally on jazz saxophone, later moving to guitar and bass in a number of bands. Nick has been involved in several musical collectives on guitar and mixing.
They are named after an ecological incident in Oxford where the local paper, the Oxford Mail, reported on a military chemical spill, saying that 'a wave of foam heads (down the river Thames) for the City'.
